When this review is appropriate
This review is typically appropriate when:
- A tooling or production decision is within 2–6 weeks
- CAD is largely stable
- A BOM exists (even if rough)
- There is a clear decision owner
When it is not appropriate
This review is usually not appropriate when:
- Concepts are still fluid
- Manufacturing processes are undefined
- There is no imminent irreversible decision
- The goal is additional execution capacity
